£155,000 for Injured Biker dragged under a lorry

Mr Z brought his motorcycle to a stop at a set of traffic lights when the lorry behind him failed to appreciate that he was there, and attempted to ‘jump’ the lights; dragging him under its wheels.

Mr Z was dragged under the vehicle for some distance until another motorist was able to get the lorry driver to stop.

Mr Z suffered from serious injuries to his foot and ankle and psychological symptoms.

After rejecting an early offer of £10,000, settlement was eventually reached for £155,000 once the case had been fully investigated and documented.

Mr Z’s Solicitor, Ian Dexter, advised ‘This case goes to show the importance of fully investigating your case. Had my client accepted the insurance company’s initial offer he would have been severely under-compensated for this significant accident.’
