Bikelawyer gets UK’s largest ever CRPS settlement for client – £1.9 million full liability valuation

A motorcyclist injured in 2008 has settled her Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) case for £1.9 million on a full liability basis, the UK’s highest ever compensation awarded in such a case.

Miss X, who wishes to remain anonymous, was represented by Andrew Campbell of Bikelawyer Motorcycle Accident Solicitors. Her initially modest injuries led to the onset of CRPS. The condition rendered the Claimant wheelchair reliant since 2009. The majority of the settlement will be spent on future care, accommodation and loss of earnings.

After a reduction for agreed contributory negligence the net award was over £1.4 million.
Commenting on the case, her solicitor, Andrew Campbell, said “This was a heavily contested and difficult case but I am delighted with the outcome which will enable my client to have a future free of financial concern.”
